As guardian/conservator, Catholic Charities must be available to our wards/protected persons 24/7. Staff is available and on-call 365 days a year. Catholic Charities advises all service providers of our emergency on-call phone number so they can contact us no matter the day or time.
Because Catholic Charities takes on the role of protector and guardian, we keep our relationship with each client current, which requires regular visits and contact no matter where they are living.
Catholic Charities serves as guardian/conservator for individuals whose county of residence is within the Diocese of Winona. All other counties will be considered on a case by case basis. For those clients who live in supervised living facilities outside of their county of residence, Catholic Charities will travel within the state of Minnesota for regular visits.
Guardianship/Conservatorship is multifaceted. We are responsible for every aspect of a person’s life from the physical needs to paying their bills and managing their finances and income.
