The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) helps people age 55 and older put their skills and life experience to work in their communities. RSVP volunteers serve in organizations that range from schools, hospitals, youth recreational centers, and to local police stations.

Using their personal interests and skills, RSVP volunteers may continue to remain active doing the type of work they enjoyed earlier in life, or they may opt to try something new. By providing community services such as Homeland Security, disaster preparedness, RSVP volunteers meet needs that local budgets often cannot afford.
